I work as a lorry driver i popped in there on friday 1st march around tea time it was busy i asked the young lady serving how long a portion of chips would take to do she said just a few mins as she would do them herself the chips were golden brown and fluffy inside with loads of salt and vinegar on they were lovely and the service was great and very helpful.

Absolutely awful fish and chips and we'd been so looking forward to it. The paper was sodden and it was a task to peel it off the food which was limp and wet. Not a hint of crunch and the batter was pale and like damp flour. Was hard to differentiate between fish and chip. It was just a damp pile of mush most of which went in the bin. Won't be going again.You asked for a photo. Here you go. In about 10 years I've only written 20 reviews - something has to really great or really terrible to inspire me to bother.Read the other reviews and raise your game.

Second worst fish and chips I've ever had.£26 for 2 TINY bits of fish, may aswell call it a fish finger, a handful of chips and a sausage. And it took an hour and a half to get here. Do not waste your time with this place.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Was given a microwaved frozen steak and kidney pie with my meal. Ordered online for collection and said 20minutes and had to wait another 15minutes in store when I finally got my food from the 15year old behind the counter who I saw fetch a frozen pie and put it in the microwave. Must have been in for the whole of 3 minutes and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that’s not long enough. Got home and to my surprise ? stone cold filling and completely ruined the food. Rang up to complain and the best they could do was offer me another (probably frozen) pie or a refund but only for the singular item not the whole meal. Shame as it’s on my door step but will be going elsewhere from now on

Appalling food and service. I would never use again. I ordered through just eat last night. Took an hour and 50 mins to arrive from time of order. Messaged to say delayed but was still late after the second time given. Food was an insult. Almost £6 for burgers, we got a cheeseburger and a chicken burger. When ordering a chicken burger there are no options of sauce and salad etc so we put a note for lettuce and mayo. They completely ignored it and just threw the cheapest quality chicken bit in an oversized bun. The cheeseburger had no cheese (you need to refund me), it was a vile gristly boney burger, again just thrown in an oversized bun. When you charge £6 a burger it should be chicken breast and 100% beef. Where they were so late with my order you would think they would deliver me first but no they admitted the woman had several orders and the time of it leaving the shop to getting to me was half an hour so chips were cold and soggy. This company clearly have no regard for their customers, as is telling from all their many other negative reviews. Shame on you, scammers.
don't go here for lunch, They offer a Pizza lunchtime deal that sounds amazing. They also tell you they don't serve pizza at lunchtime..

Went in on a monday, while I presume it gets busier wasn’t long for order despite being a bit of a queue when I went in. Server was cheery and fast and food was pretty standard for a fish and chip shop, tad pricey but everywhere is at the moment so hardly seems like a fault of the shop. Marginally preferred it to the Abbey Fryer despite the distance and has a larger menu by the looks of it.

Regular chips! Not even a cones worth. 2 pieces of one size cod which was soggy and rather small. £17.50. Don’t bother!!!

Used to be good here, but just had the worst experience in terms of food quality. Really greasy chips and sausages. Tasted burnt and left me feeling sick afterwards with a nasty aftertaste. Can only assume oil needed changing. Portions smaller than previously, but I guess that’s a sign of the times. Won’t be using again.

Portions are half the size they used to be for the same price if not more. Kebab meat was dry and tasteless. Ordered a large kebab meat but received the smallest container they do and was told it was a large. A burger container is not large ? I can see your large trays but no and yet still charge over 5 pounds. Used to be a reasonable place to purchase fish and chips but not anymore. Use a different chip shop your wallet will thank you.
