Five of us went in on a Saturday afternoon finding the car park almost empty. Wondering if they were closed, we went in. There were two other people there, and we had a choice of where to sit.The person we ordered our food was friendly. Unfortunately, they only had one fish and chip, so one person had to change their choice. The food took around 30 mins to arrive. We enjoyed the food. Really nice pub, with loads of space, nice garden area and best of all, the food is excellent. Dogs are welcome and the staff are friendly and efficient.Vegetarian options: Good choice of veggie options. I'm veggie and always enjoy the food.Kid-friendliness: Good space outside for kids to burn some energy off.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible, and facilities inside are good too.

We had a family meal at The Canterbury to celebrate my son’s birthday. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and the pub had a great atmosphere.
