We celebrated Mother's Day, 9 of us for Sunday lunch and a very pleasant occasion it was. Choice of 3 roasts and very well cooked and presented they were. Excellent quality and good service made for an enjoyable celebration.

We went for lunch on a weekday, and didn't expect table service as it's a pub - but that's what we got, which was lovely.We chose different dishes, both of which arrived in more generous portions than you would expect for the excellent prices.Will definitely go again (and if you're reading this and are tempted - try the faggots and mash, bloody lovely).

I was served with 'off' draught Marsdens ale. It did not improve after being drawn through. Suggest next door for good beer.
