My favourite spot to hang out and meet friends in Croydon! They have a great selection of games and the food and drinks are fantastic.
I visited cafe with my cousins and we totally loved it. We had fun time and enjoyed more than 6 games. Food was good and the staff was friendly. Totally recommend this place who likes to play board games.
Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly service! A really good selection of board games for all ages, good for eirther a family outing or an adult meet up.
Booked this place for our child and her friends, thinking they would enjoy the boardgames. But apparently only some games are for free, others you have to buy. Food was expensive, especially the pack of crisps. Pizza were tasty. But kids came home deflated.
Love the atmosphere, surprisingly large menu for food and drink considering it's a cafe!
I absolutely love board games and they have a great wide variety of games to play, the food is very casual but still very enjoyable, highly recommend for a night out with 2+ friends
Great family place ! Food is simple but tasty and worth the price. I visited twice already and will be coming back !!
Good space, with good lighting. Wide selection of games to choose from. Tea/coffee and a few beers on offer. Noise levels are low.
First time here and loved it! And the AC works ?
By far my favourite venue in Croydon. Whether you're a full blown board game geek or just looking for something a bit different to do with your afternoon, you'll find a game that's perfect for you. The staff are great and perfect for helping you discover new games you love. Honestly a brilliant place.

They have almost ALL board games one wants to play:) The best way to spend a chill afternoon with friends in East Croydon. They have MANY guests and the environment is warm, not too loud, but lovely & lively:)
Coffee & drinks, sandwiches & pizza etc. I just want to say the staffs are so nice especially this gentleman with glasses. If you see this, thank you!!
I spent 2 hours here (to rest actually) and ordered hot chocolate with soya milk (this is delicious btw) and asked for hot water when they are closing. The staff brought me hot water in a to-go-cup even though I didn’t expect anyone to do that.
Thank you, haha
Staff were helpful and friendly. The general atmosphere was fun and relaxed - other patrons were happy to suggest games. There seem to be hundreds of boxes of games - spoiled for choice.
The food was tasty and prepared/delivered quickly.
Drinks were a mixed bag- Virgin Passion Fruit martini was excellent, but the milkshakes were flavourless and weren't particularly thick.
We spent 7 hours there on Sunday - the time just flew by. A great place - I look forward to my next visit.
I have never been to a more welcoming, inclusive, inviting, kind and caring cafe/bar/gaming place. I have visited both during the day and in the evening, and the welcoming atmosphere is always the same. The place is filled with happy voices of friends and families spending time together, enjoying games, good food and or drinks. There are game teaching events, gaming leagues, and more board games than you could play in a life time. In the school holidays they run fun games for kids, which is something my kids would have loved when they were little, especially on a rainy day. A morning full of fun and hot chocolate, what more could a child want.
I am totally blown away that places like this exist, in a world where no one talks to anyone any more, they don't even make eye contact with strangers walking down the road. There is no blaring music, just the sounds of happy chatting, laughter and fun. New comers are welcomed with smiling faces and a willingness to involve and teach whether new or old to gaming of any kind. The welcome both my son and I have received is unparalleled. He's on the spectrum and finds new places and people hard to deal with. To the point that he rarely leaves the house, but from the second we leave he is already talking about his plans for his next visit. The Lorcana league have been the most fantastic bunch of people and I have no doubt the other leagues for other games would be just as wonderful. A night (or day) at The Ludoquist is food for the soul. I wish I could play you a recording of the happy sounds that ripple round the building, that alone is enough to tell you all you need to know. But that would be a tad odd so I shall leave you to imagine, whilst telling you that it's a million times better than your imagining.
Don't put it off, or think you must pop in one day. This is a stand alone business that is totally unique and deserves the support of customers near and far. This isn't a mass produced chain establishment, it's special.
Great place to meet up with friends and play some board games… £8pp for 4 hours. Amazing selection of games. Food and drink menu was extensive however on the pricier side. Service was great with a button on the table to request assistance. Would recommend!!
Great place to spend an afternoon or evening with family or friends.Staff very friendly.
