I have been purchasing food from the Blue Mermaid for 21 years. Excellent shish kebabs and fried fish. Their pitta bread is lovely and they know how to prepare a good, healthy salad filling. It's an Enfield institution that must be treasured. I'd give it six stars if I could!
Thought I'd give this place a try since I'd read good reviews about the chips (and fish). The chips are delicious - best of any of the chippies in Enfield, maybe even further out.Unfortunately lost a star because I found 5 bones in one mouthful of fish. I'm sure it's not representative, but I couldn't give 5. In all my years of eating chippy fish I've never found bones, so maybe this is making up for all the lost time!
