I came for lunch with my sister & her family on Boxing Day. We were in 7 & were welcomed very warmly with great friendly & prompt service. Didn’t get a chance to try the hot gin but the mulled wine was delicious! Four of us ordered the “meat pie”, which was steak & ale served on a bed of tasty & fluffy mash & really tasty cabbage. My wife and I just had the finest chicken burger we've eaten so far in the lovely garden at the Queens' head. I used to live nearby 20+ years ago and over the last few days as a mixture of studio work and family we stayed locally.
