The George is a well-above-par town centre pub in a bland area. It offers standard pub grub and decently kept drinks. The outdoor area is pleasant, located in a town square. Although food is no longer available, customers can eat their own purchased food and drinks on the premises, as long as they purchase a beer. The pub has a pool table and friendly staff, including the excellent barmaid Kate who provides exceptional service.
