We went with a small group of friends to this Brixton institution and are glad we did. Aside from the very helpful and friendly staff and nice setting the variety of feed is great. From the Hoummous and butter-soaked injera (the slightly sour and soft 'pancake') to the seafood platter and Adulis spiced meat (which comes on a charcoal heater) we enjoyed every dish immensely. We definitely recommend this place, it is worth the trip down Brixton Road
Really delicious Eritrean food. I had the meat and veg combo while my friend had the veg platter. I was unable to eat it all but only because it was a lot of food. I would definitely eat there again. Really lovely, homey atmosphere. Unpretentious and comfortable.Vegetarian options: Many of the dishes are vegetarian. My friend who is a vegan eats there frequently for this reason.
