We had the seasonal tasting menu between Christmas and new year. The chefs table, menu and selected wines were excellent especially as Apricity successfully catered for 1 vegan and 2 pescatarians in our party of 10.The team was remarkably serene and proficient, each menu itemallowing the specialist chef to explain and present the course. Thank you for looking after us so well last night for the 7 course chefs table. Every mouthful was delicious, we all disagreed on our favourite. It was so interesting to hear about the food we were eating and it was clear to see the care that had gone into every dish. The food was excellent, quite pricey but worth it. I ordered the sourdough beforehand, and that hit the spot. It came with a beignet, which was nice. I then ordered the scallops, which were also nice. But the highlight was the venison, which was wonderful. Flavoursome and only very slightly chewy. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice enough. The decor was a bit basic for such prices but I came for the food and that's all that really matters.
