Really enjoyed the food, but the drinks were poor (watery beer and not Camden Hells as advertised, wine very poor). Biggest issue for me dining in was the expensive service charge of top of already high prices, not what I expect in a British Chippy. Stick to takeaway and you’ll be happy.
Our first London meal was an excellent one.We started off with jellied eels out of curiosity. Very much NOT our thing, but this appeared to be a good preparation. Easier to stomach with the chili vinegar and hot sauce.The fish and chips were outstanding. Massive piece of crispy fresh haddock served with lemon, tartar sauce, and best of all malt vinegar. Tasty, pricy! We shared a plate of whitebait to start, the cheapest most abundant fish there are. For £6.95 we thought there’d be a big pile of them, but no exactly 10 tiny little fish. Gherkins and pickled onions £1.75 each! Food tasty though, nice decor too.
