We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Restaurant 1890 by Gordon Ramsay on Friday. What an incredible meal! They looked after us with so much warmth, you can really tell the staff love what they do. Some excellent wine offerings to accompany a tasting menu, served "carte blanche", made the experience so special, even into account my husband's dietary requirements. All the staff go out of their way to go above and beyond but without it ever feeling overbearing. Thanks so much to Sarah, James, Becky, Beatriz and the team!

Just had the most wonderful dining experience at 1890The tasting menu is definitely worth every single penny if you are there every single dish is presented delicately and well explained by the service crew but most importantly the taste, every dish has the ability to bring u more excited for the next upcoming dish thk u Chef James!Next is the delicate service, really tip top by the service crew and they certainly know what they are serving to their customers a big cheers to the team!I would definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I'm back to London

I had Lunch here with my cousin as it was my first time in London.It’s been an amazing experience, everything was perfect, the staff is very attentive to the details, professional and at the same time friendly, make you really feel home. The all menu it’s been incredible, personally I loved the chicken with wild garlic and the sauce Albufera. On wine wise the restaurant offer a large selection of wine by the glass so you can find what make for you.Experience to try at least once in the life.

Visited this restaurant for the first time in a group of 5 persons. Every dish of their tasting menu was well prepared and presented. The dining area was not as big but very nicely decorated. Felt good from entry to departure. With pre dinner champagne and wine pairing, roughly about £300 per person.

We went for our anniversary in November 2023. It was rather fun to arrive at the restaurant knowing that it was Carte Blanche and we had no idea what we would eat. Before the evening we were asked if we had any dietary requirements or preferences, so there was no chance of having something you didn’t like. That seemed like a good idea, but the pigeon dish was really not great - but then maybe we don’t like pigeon! Other than that the food was exquisite, and served at a good tempo along with the wines. The service was exemplary, and the wine pairing delicious. We had a fabulous evening (pigeon aside) and would go again for a special occasion.

Outstanding food and service. Visited with my daughter and the service and food were amazing. What I liked was the restaurant was small but with a good atmosphere. Each course just got better and better. I happened to mention to my daughter that I really didn’t like beetroot, a waiter overheard and asked chef to prepare a different meal for me, this attention to detail really does make this one of my very favourite restaurants. I will not name the courses as I think it will spoil the experience. It was so nice to not have tricks and gimmicks and allow the food and service to stand by itself. Highly recommend for all occasions.

Myself and my wife were lucky enough to be bought vouchers for our birthday for Restaurant 1890. My wife and I have been going to fine dining restaurants once a year for several years. In this time we’ve been fortunate enough to try some 3,2 and 1 star restaurants. I can confidently say 1890 holds its own against any 2 star we’ve been to. The staff here were amazing; attentive enough to make you feel special, not too over bearing to make you feel awkward. Their knowledge on the wine and dishes demonstrated a real commitment to their craft. The food was sublime, with one dish (I won’t ruin the surprise menu) up there with one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I’m gluten free (coeliac), which was catered for brilliantly. Didn’t feel I missed out on anything due to the extra effort the kitchen staff went to. The whole experience was one where the front of house team and chefs are all at the top of their game. Not the cheapest but worth saving for and doing it soon. I’d be surprised if this doesn’t start collecting all the culinary accolades and become harder and harder to get a table.

From start to finish, an excellent experience. Have dined at some very good restaurants ( Per Se, One Madison etc) but the quality of the service here was the best I have received. Excellent attention to detail ( tasting menus for two carnivores, a pescatarian and a vegetarian all handled perfectly). Fabulous ambiance - and the food and wine were consistently great. Thank you !
