The Bodhran is a charming Irish pub located just off the busy A41 in Hendon, a short walk from Hendon Central station. This cosy establishment opened its doors in 1995 and is named after the traditional Irish drum, the Bodhrán. The pub has a lovely, diverse clientele and a great atmosphere, with a decent-sized bar area and a cosy back room with exposed brickwork. The beer selection is straightforward, featuring classic options like Guinness, which is reportedly excellent and reasonably priced. While the pub doesn't serve food, there are plenty of Tayto's crisps available to curb your hunger. The Bodhran is known for its love of sports, showing live Premier League and GAA matches, and it also hosts regular live Irish music events to get your feet tapping. Reviewers praise the attentive manager, Neil, and the great barmaid, Dani, who provide fabulous service and create a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
