The Monsoon
78 Brick Ln, LondonWe stopped in late on a Sunday evening, soaking wet from the rain and very hungry after a long day at football in London (group of 4) and the restaurant kindly accommodated us … our meal was excellent value for money, absolutely delicious dishes and generous sized portions … the service from such friendly staff was first class. Would highly recommend.

Eastern Eye Balti House | Best Indian Restaurant London
63A Brick Ln, LondonWe were looking to have a curry on Brick Lane but were not sure where to go. Johnny was doing a great job of inviting people in to Eastern Eye; he is clearly very proud of this restaurant and rightly so. The decour is lovely, with tables well set out and two open- front windows so you can watch the world go by on this iconic street. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, the menu extensive and reasonably priced. And the food! Wow. Amazing flavours and colours; certainly some of the best dishes we've had. Make a beeline to this place, folks: you won't be disappointed.

Wimpy
Shop 28 Watney Mkt, LondonGreat service.
Greeted with a warm welcome.
Staff were helpful, they have halal options which is great for me as I don’t eat pork.
The salted caramel latte was so good better than all those coffee shops.
I got a breakfast muffin and latte just for £5 which is a bargain in this day and age.
The muffin was so nice it had cheese on it which I don’t usually like but it was great.
Will definitely be back and I highly recommend!

Pret A Manger
Unit 1, Thomas More Square Retail, LondonIf you wonder between the overly large pots and approach slowly you might just stumble upon a pret lurking there, although when it's dark it will scarper away, or when the clock chimes 16.30. Hot chocolate is good, service is fast enough, spacious seating area.

Coffee Republic
208 Whitechapel Rd, LondonPopped into Coffee Republic for a quick bite and some warm drinks to escape the cold. We ordered a Luxury Hot Chocolate, a Masala Chai, and a warm Cheese and Onion Toastie.
The drinks were delicious and exactly what we needed! The shop has plenty of seating and a clean customer toilet.
We did have a small wait for the toastie as it was initially forgotten, but the staff were very helpful and resolved it quickly once we mentioned it.
Overall, the food was tasty and the drinks were great.
Definitely recommended if you’re in the area and need a spot to sit and recharge!

Pret A Manger
21 Mansell St, LondonDecent, spacious pret but unfortunately even staff ignore the 'keep the door closed' sign at the front. Customers do and thats a given but even staff walked past the open front door and didn't close it.
Service is polite and friendly unfortunately I struggled with their accents and they struggled with mine but that's not an issue such is life!

Tayyabs
83-89 Fieldgate St, LondonPerfect venue for a group of people eating out in the evening. I've been there with groups from eight up to 14 and the staff coped very well. They don't have an alcohol licence so you have to bring your own. This isn't a problem because there's a Tesco Express five minutes walk down the road. Value for money can't be faulted.
I wouldn't recommended this for couples wanting a romantic meal.

Costa Coffee
126 Whitechapel High St, AldgateService was not too bad, the coffee was a alright. I got the Latte and my girlfriend got the Mocha. The prices are about level with other coffee shops in the area. However the espresso that they use in the mocha and i’m sure the espresso in general is EXTREMELY STRONG. We aren’t very caffeine sensitive but this was a lot for us lol. It felt like I had 4 monster energy drinks. We had a mocha at the Attendant that tasted much better with way less potency. So just a fair warning to eat a lot of food if you plan to have an espresso or the Mocha because it is quite strong. The place itself is nice and clean as well. Some of the workers are very fast and hard at work and there’s another that’s very slow. But they seem to have a good flow here.

Rough Trade East
Old Truman Brewery 91, Brick Ln, LondonA large vinyl record shop in a little side road off of Brick Lane. It has a great selection of old style records, as well as records. There is a little burger bar inside the place, and they sometimes play gigs there, too. If you are an old style music fan who wants to avoid the streaming slop, this is the venue for you.

Beigel Bake Brick Lane Bakery
159 Brick Ln, Shoreditch, LondonFantastic bakery. I've been going to the shop for over thirty years and today, placed an online order for the first time. There was a bit of confusion, mainly because I went to the wrong website. However, the help and support I received from Sagiv to sort things out was exemplary. Thorough, efficient and gracious.
