Good service, friendly staff. I like the way the fish & chips are presented, with the chips bagged up on their own & the fish boxed. Chips were perfect, personally I think the fish needed another two minutes in the fryer, but on other occasions fish was perfect! The Large was indeed "LARGE" ,but a little expensive at £12.30 for a takeaway. Otherwise excellent.
Since this Tom Bells has recently changed hands the service has crashed. Young lads behind the counter are more interested in messing about and berating the fryer than the customers. Used to be a regular, but won’t be going back. No hygiene precautions, no hand washing, no wiping down of surfaces, average food, and not overly cheap. Seem more interested in Just Eat orders than walk-in customers. Many customers without face masks even though there is a sign on the door. Overall...read full review

The Haddock and Chips which I ordered was the best piece of fish I have had for a long time. The chips were great too although you have to ask them to stop loading too many?. Highly recommend. Steve Pallett
