This is strictly a locals pub, mainly for those who live in the Upminster Road North area of Rainham. I can appreciate the opinions of those who have wandered in here for the first time and have found the atmosphere a wee bit hostile. Now looking at some of the reviews i understand, this is not a wetherspoons, it is not all glossy and yes it could benefit from a refurb but as long as the staff are friendly, which they are and the beer is good (and cheep?) it doesn't really matter, the way the pub trade is these days i can understand a refurb may be unaffordable, i guess for it to be open at all, we should be glad.
