An unassuming Italian chain serving up excellent food. As you sit down, they pour a sample of pink lemonade that was some of the best I have ever had. We started with the sage pork meatballs, bruschetta, and garlic bread. The meatballs were fantastic and the garlic bread was good as well, although it was just pizza crust folded up. The bruschetta had a generous amount of toppings so that was great. For an entree I had the beef brisket Ragu which was spectacular. Perfectly cooked pasta and the sauce was not overpowering at all in terms of acidity or sweetness. Great balance over all!

Very disappointed with the ask Italian on Gloucester road London. Extremely poor service and unfriendly staff, the wait staff were extremely slow, had to ask multiple times for menus and items. The restaurant was half empty so I have no idea what the reason could be for the staffs bad attitude and service.Food was also underwhelming, the chicken lasagne had barely any chicken( I have ordered this dish before at the Edinburgh branch and it had succulent pieces of chicken not dried up shreds like I was served at the Gloucester Branch ) the food also tastes like it has been premade and is just reheated. I was shocked at the quality unlike the Edinburgh branch which was absolutely amazing both the food and the staff. I strongly suggest management get I. Contact with the Edinburgh branch so they can see how things ought to be done.On top of the pathetic service they had the cheek to add on a tip. Don’t waste your time at this branch however if anyone is in Edinburgh definitely stop by at the Edinburgh branch totally worth it

This is based on my experience once with my friend and now with my family the worst service. When we arrived a lady who was on duty was unwelcoming a moody person, I could tell from when we entered. We arrived in the evening poor service from the other couple of staff on duty they didn't care, the lady who was a manager has a big attitude problem and I saw how she spoke to customers. One Example a family asked for a certain table she said it was booked it was a lie no table was booked sicking behaviour. When you have problems in life its because of people like you who treat humans in a sicking way. I think the workers need to learn how to respect the public after all its our money. You wont have a job if there are no customers. The food was poor and service was disgraceful worst ask Italian branch. My family and friends will never go again

The service was absolutely disgraceful and ridiculous presented by the staff today. The restaurant was hardly busy when we arrived, and it took far too long for our orders to be taken. We saw this as a minor mistake, but after we ate our food, it took an unreasonably long time for someone to attend our table as we waited for the dessert menu. In between the times of waiting to order and waiting to pay the bill, no staff member showed any attentiveness or care. A separate table had already been served, and we paid their bill when we arrived earlier than them. The staff here needs to be properly trained to maintain a high standard for every single person at the restaurant. It is unacceptable and disrespectful to show a lack of respect. The manager of this restaurant must address these service issues to your employees as soon as possible and to have a level of courtesy and efficiency when serving customers in the future.

We had a lovely three course meal at Ask Italia, Erion did a superb job serving us. We were seated and served very quickly - thank you.

The food is good. The food is already cooked and they just warm it. So the meal will come in about 10 minutes. They added tips on the original bill. We asked to change the table while the restaurant empty we were only using, but the waiter refused.

Excellent food! Ate here several times. Service is good but a bit slow. Food makes up for it. 5 Stars! Would definitely recommend and would return. Would love to have them in the U.S.

I must say the best thing about this restaurant is the free shot of pink lemonade. Food not cooked (chicken breast) hard with pot of sauce that looked microwaved glump. Chips OK. Calzone Pizza looked very pale (pastry like) and partner couldn't eat. We didn't complain (we don't). The waiter didn't even ask or question to why 2 complete meals were left. They were too focused on new customers and cleaning tables. A complete waste of £70. (5pm reservation - Gloucester Road, London).

My spicy pollo lasagne is great, but my husbands pizza was very bland. Not offered parmesan or chilli oil. The staff were rushed off their feet and doing their best, but the ladies next to us didn't get served for 20 mins. Not great

Nice restaurant in the chain, decent food and the staff were great, very effective and efficient service with a decent menu.Watch the world go by or dive in on the way to Waitrose.

We wanted some real Italian food. Sat down and ordered food. When my friend had served I was utterly shocked seeing his dish, the state of it and presentation and flavours were utterly poorly. Not taste. Nothing. It was done perhaps by a kid. And maybe a kid would have done a better job. My calzone was ok. But unfortunately didn’t leave a tip as there was not follow up. Not recommending this place. Skip this place.

A really disappointing experience if you love and appreciate good food. The carbonara pasta was a mess! Served luke warm with a strange type of noodles and you could hardly taste any eggs. Literally the worst carbonara I ever had. The service was slow and inattentive. We didn’t leave a tip. Avoid this place!

I used to love pizza ask before it became ask italian about ten years ago, it was my favourite pizza. I was told by my family that they're not good anymore since becoming ask italian, that the staff is rude and the food is bad. I went there is 2018 to the one in oxford street and my family were right, the food was horrible and the staff was rude. I went to this one today which I would usually go to 20 years ago but they didn't even serve me when I stood by the door, I was waiting there a long time. A man walked in front of me when I was queing and then I went in front, the waiter ignored me and took care of the man instead.
