**A Delightful Rediscovery at the Red Lion in Cheam**I cannot express enough my delight with the Red Lion in Cheam. After a hiatus due to a lackluster atmosphere, I decided to give it another chance, and I'm thrilled that I did. With Jamie, formerly from the Harrow, now at the helm, the change is remarkable. Food is very poor,No effort put into it at all. Cold plates, cold food,Wilted salad, portions sizes were just awful for the price.My partner had the salad with sweet pot falafels, 3 tiny frozen balls of tasteless nothing,Pasta dish was described as inedible.Get a new chef. Or bring in someone that can direct them with flavour and consistency.Bar staff just seemed like they didn't want to be there, even a fake smile is better than none.Lovely local pub for a beer only.

It's been a while since we were last here and was pleasently surprised its been redecorated. Also different staff and management, which was nice.Unfortunately the roast dinner was horrible£16 for this roast beef dinner, you can ask for extra roast potatoes, which were completely different to the ones initially served. Looked like Iceland specials. There were also 3 small slices of very dry looking grey beef. Looked like a frozen dinner. My wife did say the Yorkshire pudding...read full review
