We were out on a works Christmas do & decided to head to the railway tavern to finish the evening. We were out of the area and had no clue what the pub would be like but we was welcomed by everyone, had a really great night. Bar staff were friendly & funny. This is a proper local. Not much in the way of selection of ales but decent enough if you live nearby. (There aren't many options for pubs in Woodford Green.) I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it but will absolutely drop in next time I'm passing. When you get to know the regulars, I'm sure it's a good pub to frequent.

no nonsense traditional pub. standard interior with pool table and darts area. Staff are friendly and so are the local customers there. They show the football and sports on the tv. Screens are spread out so space for all. I have not eaten there.
