Very, very poor service here on Sunday 15th Oct. Walked into store to a small queue of around 6 people ahead of me, only a few seated customers but uncleared tables and a few disappointed customers awaiting orders. Once I'd waited over 15 minutes in the queue once at the front the guy behind the counter announced he was 'suspending' any other orders for drinks & food indefinitely as they were too busy & needed to catch up. When asked how long this may be the response was abrupt and no idea - hence I left & went elsewhere!! Take note, Cheadle store know how to keep up & are always polite even when busy!

Service without a smile…took forever to get my drinks and it wasn’t even busy. Staff were unfriendly - drinks plonked down on the counter without a smile or even an acknowledgement that they were mine. One toilet was out of order and the other was disgusting. Won’t be going back.

The manager is really good and always friendly and will go the extra mile. Staff are generally good too. Sometimes issues with food being out of stock but that's the same in all Costas. Tables sometimes should be cleared faster but it depends on how busy they are. Never used the toilets here and unlike a lot of cafe chains, you don't get every desperate passer by using it as a public loo! Having a door code probably deters. Sometimes you have to queue a while. There's a few tables outside with the usual smokers. I look forwards to the day there's no smoking on the premises!One big problem is the frequency it's open only for takeaway. I've arranged to meet friends there, only to find we can't sit it. Really poor there's been an ongoing issue with staff absence or shortage.Overall it's a nice Costa branch. Recommended.

Good as Costa's go, big and spacious inside and is a pretty nice place to be. Best bit though is the Frank Sidebottom statue outside.
