“First try here after seeing great reviews and was not disappointed in any way. Service was second to none and Luigi was just perfect, personable and attentive and does the best Negronis. Had 3 courses including fillet steak and also arrabiatta and all were delicious, of high quality and cooked to perfection. I would definitely say this is the highest standard of food we have had in the Altrincham area for many years and cannot wait to be back.”

“Great service, real Italian feel. Menu wasn’t as broad as I expected and would have thought the basics pasta with basil sauce would have been better on the menu. The Bruschetta pomodoro should have finely chopped tomatoes, not half sliced. They all fell off the bread??? The ravioli was wonderful. The atmosphere was great and it was deceiving walking in to a small space then going downstairs to a large restaurant!! Marks out of ten:7/10 and that’s a great mark. As an Italian I know if a restaurant has great potential. Just a few improvements to the menu and it will be excellent. Well done. I will be back.”

“We appreciate good authentic food and can distinguish quality dishes, having lived in Italy and travelled the entire country. Sugo’s food is very good (buono!) We love it!Disappointed the menu has changed. We were expecting a nice full plate of our favourite pasta, but was presented with a tapas style approach, with smaller portions, encouraging the dinner to go with their recommendation of three plates! This of course generates more profit for the owner, but in my opinion the traditional way of dinning and having a correct plate size of food has been taken away. It is Italian food not Spanish, with this tapas approach. I paid £16.00 for the fish based pasta, wonderful, but half the size of what you would get 2 months ago. £32.00 (thereabouts) to get a good size plate of this fish based pasta dish (£16.00x2) That is a ridiculous price, coupled with sitting on a bench outside!Sugo’s food is very good , but they should not over price their food through a new approach which does not work, we are not tasting Spanish small dishes we have come to enjoy a normal size plate of good food! They will lose customers!”

“I haven't been to Piccolonos Hale for at least 4years, mainly due to 5je last couple of times there were fighting between young men. I have visited the restaurant in Manchester & Knutsford which have been wonderful. Thankfully Hale seems to have cleaned up it's clientele and the place seemed back to it's usual good standard.The food was great, liver, onions and mashed potato. My wife had the cod, all very well cooked and tasted great. The atmosphere was a little quiet but it was midweek so to be expected.Dietary restrictions: Why diet, if you're there, enjoy, you can visit the gym one more time next week. There are lots of well balanced meals to choose from so don't worry too much!Wheelchair accessibility: Good accessible parking but get there early.”
