Small and quaint. Cheap food and beer. £5 a meal from 5 oclock even for steak. Car park is a little nightmare as narrow entrance and pot holes.Food was plentiful, and only marked down due to steak over cooked and ordered something and got something else. Still ate it all as it was delicious.Recommend the rhubarb crumble

We sat in the conservatory which really nice and bright. The carvery was beautiful. The food was delicious. Meat cooked lovely. The child's pizza meal was really nicely presented not just a pizza on a plate. Desserts were lovely. Will definitely go again.

Welcoming homely feel, reasonably priced
Very nice food and nice atmosphere. Quite small and quaint and had a log fire
Did an Open Mic evening there, smashing crowd, great
If you want a traditional pub in the area, it's this one. Great real ales, good food, and probably the most polite barman I've ever met.
Best cheese and onion pie I've ever had. Husband said smash burger was best he's ever had - perfect size and great value.would definitely come again
