Traditional boozer with lovely period features just on the edge of Bolton town centre. Attracts a crowd on weekends but not the roving gangs of n'erdowells that frequent the gin palaces at the other end of town centre.I popped in after deciding I needed to try it and found couple of musicians quietly strumming the guitars in a pleasing non-intrusive manner. It's approx £4 to £8 a round of 5 cheaper than most pubs in town depending on your next location. Reasonable selection on offer. It was our starting pub hence only 4 stars it was early doors. But a Good choice.

Friday night is lively with Karaoke on, drinks are reasonably priced and there’s a surprising little oasis out the back if you want to sit outside. It can be very load when the music is on but the place does rock.
