Our first visit to Sokrates on Saturday night, won't be the lastBooked the table a few days prior to our visitFound out the day before that my ten year old granddaughter,who lives nearby had been the previous weekend with her dad and members of his familyLittle electric lips then proceeded to tell me about the excellent service,food and parking facilities etc??Who am I to argue?Decided to have the mezze in order to sample the various dishesOne wordEXCELLENT!All the food was delicious and fillingFriendly service from ALL staff from the moment we walked through the door,including the owner?/manager who whilst serving us also gave me a brief history of the business and the other two restaurants in the groupFive stars here,well deservedWe'll definitely be backWell recommended!!

Brewed Coffee Company

This is the 2nd time visiting this lovely friendly clean cafe. Purchased a cappuccino, black coffee and some toast. Delicious thick sliced toast and hot coffee. What more could you ask for. Very friendly Staff.

Luciano's at Middlebrook

Very well presented lunch, excellent choice of food. Hot, wholesome and tasty. Lovely service from all the staff. The sandwiches and cakes on display looked fab.

The Brewery Bar

Love this bar.Outstanding selection of craft beers and cider. Real traditional drinking tavern.The bar is upstairs, but it does have outside seating at ground level.4* only because it has room for live music yet doesn't do a lot of it.Have to mention the 'Sreet Food' vendor outside the entrance, with pub tables to enjoy it.My favourite bar in Horwich!

Jolly Crofters

Just been in for a lovely meal with family. Very busy as Good Friday but service was quick and the meal lovely as usual. I tried the Donner kebab and it was one of the nicest meals I've had. Very good ,fresh and good value for money. I will be back to have again very soon , staff lovely and cheerful , see you soon , ( Monday when I bring the hubby to try it )

Amazing food! Didn't have to wait long, Louis was fab, as was the rest of the team, checking if everything was OK, and I will definitely visit again soon!Even better, they accept tesco clubcard vouchers.

Harvester Horwich Park Bolton

Came in on Sunday by myself for breakfast Wendy looked after me brilliantly she was very friendly and made me feel at home with me being on my own as I usually come in with my family. I will definitely be back again on a Sunday to see her again and have a delicious breakfast. Thank you for making my morning fabulous.

Iceland Supermarket Horwich

Iceland is a pretty good place to shop, although I'm sure it'll raise my brows pricey for us because we tend to buy ingredients, whereas this place tends to sell you ready to eat or almost ready to eat I do love the fact that they have brands, although a lot of brands they have at the moment aren't really my faves plus I am someone who will put in the time to cook so this place is more of a get a few bits as a treat rather than a full shop. But I mean if you're after pre-made pies and stuff that you can just put in the oven. They've got a good selection and the price is a pretty good for the frozen

Curley's Dining Rooms

Just had a lovely afternoon here at curleys for our friends 70th birthday. I dropped so.e balloons off and a cake for her, all the staff were fantastic and the food was delicious, they had set the table for us and after we had eaten they brought the cake and sang happy birthday,thank you carole

Hollywood Bowl Bolton

It's a while since we visited but the staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. Will certainly be going again, the reception staff were very welcoming and set up the lanes for us and the barman was lovely with my grandson who changed his mind twice!!! Well done all for a lovely experience

This review is just about one hot chocolate drink. The drink was made with Asda Barista oat milk. B@lls you can’t call it milk. Anyways Tracey the Waitress made me this drink in a lovely BIG cup with oodles of fresh cream pouring out over the top like a wild white beard blowing in the Horwich wind. Tracey, kindly and needlessly as it happened worried about its presentation. For as soon as it arrived at the table the kids burst out in hilarity about how the cream was streaming to the table.Quick catch it!That one is almost at the bottom!This went on for a quite a while.Easily the best experience of having a hot chocolate before even drinking a drop :-)When I eventually drank it, it was goooood. Just what I needed on a cold day.

Great cafe. We had a really good lunch break here with the new owner. We had the soup and Shawarma, both were excellent. I think they do all day breakfast up until 12. Definitely be back, thanks Maxine&Alex!

Donner 24

What can i say its had legend status on just eat for years and rightly so. The food is very good, the staff are always polite and friendly. The only negative is sometimes they struggle to do the long distance deliveries. But if they can't do it they will phone you up and not leave you waiting for nothing to turn up. Kebabs are always my favorite

Tidy little boozer at the edge of Horwich. Warm friendly staff, nice range of drinks amd reasonable prices (with some good offers).Can get lively on a weekend night when the dj is in, shows the footy, warm and cosy enough, even when not very busy.Worth popping

I had a superlative experience in the middlebrook shop due to an amazing young man named Reece Stringer. He was very pleasant; outgoing and respectful. Never in my 5 years of frequenting different Subway franchises have i been so impressed by the quality of service! Another thing which stood out to me was how effectively he was coordinating himself and his colleague which further streamlined the experience.

CAFE BRAMBLES

When you walk in a place and you get a clear view into the kitchen, I think that's a sign that the place has confidence they are doing things properly. If you are looking for a proper cosy caff then this is that. Cosy, clean, well lit and quite a decent variety of options on the breakfast and all day options.Prices are reasonable, think the veggie sausages were Linda McCartney which are quite distinctive - but this is a good thing (I happen to like them).Staff are super friendly and patient, and didn't mind the constant chatter from my talkative 5 year old.Will definitely return which I suppose tells you all you need to know. Compare this to my last breakfast out in Horwich (at the dreadful beehive) and it's cleaner, better atmosphere, lovely staff, better food served quicker - and costs less!!

Do people actually review Greggs? We stopped there on Saturday 22/04/23 early, about 8.30, the food was fine but the lad serving was brilliant, a properly friendly lad. 5* for the lad on his own and you can’t fault the food, cheap enough and tasty (probably 4*)

Corner Cafe

Visited on 12/03/20. I had the Breakfast Barm, I recommend it, my partner had a breakfast. Service was quick but we were not rushed. Good quality with a good price, "Danny" served us, very pleasant. We will visit again.

Milano Take Away

These guys have been doing it right for along time now.I thought I'd go off piste with a kofte shish combo.And it was absolutely fabulous.Lovely tender grilled marinated meat.lovely fresh salad.and their excellent hot chilli sauce.In a great flat bread cooked on the premises.Superb.cant wait to go full shish.

It is a small store with a supermarket (small too)\\nYou can find non alcoholic beer, lovely steaks, and I love the pâté, chicken liver pâté. I wish it was larger store. The employees there are great people and very helpful. I love the place.
