19-21 High St, Standish, WiganAbsolutely lovely staff, who have worked there for some time, they know their regulars and it's lovely how they interact with you.They have changed their menu so there is more variety of dishes as they offer kebab style meals and grills now.I may have chosen the wrong pasta dish because it was a bit too buttery or oily for me and I felt I had to wipe my lips after each mouthful. This wouldn't stop me from returning though as I will know to choose a different dish, perhaps a tomato based one instead or an option from the grill.The pizzas look good and the presentation of food is very good.The menu is small and a bit limited but I'm sure the staff can tailor a meal to suit preferences. They also had specials when I went so there is this extra option of food too.I tend to visit this restaurant on special occasions, I'll be happy to return though as I won't let this one off experience put me offSee you soon ☺️

65 Church St, Standish, WiganWe've been getting takeaways from here for ages. Always really food, far better than any of the other takeaways in the area. Portion sizes are generous and the food isn't too oily or fatty like other placesIt's good for vegans and vegaterians too; the tofu massaman is top notch Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options and a few vegan options. They have Tofu!

Premier Inn Wigan North (M6 Jct 27) hotel
Almond Brook Rd, Standish, WiganHad a great warm welcome from friendly staff. Easy check in no waiting. Room was as expected not as modern as some Premier inns. But overall still warm and comfy. Restaurant was good for evening meal and breakfast.

Spar, Ground Floor Premises, School Ln, Standish, WiganBeen going here for years, I have left a review before but needed an update, Can’t beat a classic subway. Id possibly say its better than half the subways round the country only because the staff are always great and go above and beyond. Always telling you the best deals and little secrets about certain things, one about the ben and Jerry’s but I can’t say??.Also got to give a massive props to one of the workers Micheal, I’d got 2 tango ice-blasts from spar and he gave me a cup holder for them even tho i’d technically left subway.Food is always great, never had a burnt subway unlike from others. Even tho its attached to a spar the atmosphere is decent tbh. there’s places to sit inside, best seat is obvs the window seat with the stools. Although I always takeaway.Overall, It’s a Subway only one in standish and better than the 2 in wigan in my opinion so Enjoy ?I recommend The baller. Unfortunately they don’t do sriracha sauce which is a big let down for spicy food loversParking: Its free but small and pretty sure its timed.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp into the building

Thompson House Equestrian Centre, Pepper Ln, Standish, WiganCalled in to book a buffet,had a little lunch + it was really good.The buffet we booked for a funeral was absolutely superb,all changes we asked for was dealt with, no problem at all. Cannot thank the staff enough.

489 Preston Rd, Standish, WiganFirst time trying here last night, lovely restaurant, not too busy, food was delicious, service was quick staff are lovely too. I had the beef stroganoff as I've never had this before it was really nice + really filling. Garlic bread with cheese was delicious!

Tims Pizza Kebab House
21 Pole St, Standish, WiganThis is the first time I've ordered from Tim's pizza & Kebab house and I really enjoyed the experience.From placing the order, to delivery, my food came in 30 minutes. The garlic bread, 1/2 pound burger and mozzarella sticks were all piping hot and you could tell it had been freshly made.Everything tasted great, and they very kindly did my garlic bread 1/2 cheese & 1/2 tomato as per my request! I'm looking forward to trying the kebabs next after struggling to find a good one locally!I will definitely be ordering from here, or picking up food when passing in the future
