Excellent burger and

Matthew Kendall

Ordered a couple of beef burgers, one with chips and one with fries. The burgers were relatively expensive at £13 yet they were very underwhelming. The beef patties were thin and the cheese was scanty. The serving of fries were far from large and were soggy. Can't comment on other items off the menu but I'd certainly avoid ordering a burger.

We booked for Sunday lunch. They had none in stock, and ended up with A mixed bag of meals that took 2 hours to arrive. The staff, 3 teenage girls all looked sad.

Visited last Sunday afternoon the food took 1.5 hours to arrive. The food was nice when it arrived. There was only limited food available. I have been during the week recently and service was a lot better. I will never go on a Sunday again because there was no Sunday roast which we where expecting and it was very disorganised. Drinks took forever to arrive thouht they had gone to the brewery for them.

We went with my mother in law who has dementia, and the staff were brilliant with her. Food us pretty decent too - no sign of microwave rubbish here. Lovely people. Worth a visit.

Quality of food is excellent just didnt have my initial two choices in as they'd not had delivery. Still, id recommend the place.

Service was poor, waited ages, came at different times and then tabled not cleared. First and last time avoid.Thank you for your response but not interested in excuses, you should have shut if you didn't have the staff to provide the right level of service. I agree the pub was being run by teenagers as assuming owners were out enjoying themselves, as you say it was Xmas eve and most people work hard and should be appreciated but I would offer some advice, you might want take a better lead on managing your staff as I agree they cannot be blamed for poor management. In terms of how busy you were ? No busier than normal plus our group had a total of 4 people and we ordered all 4 at the same time so not sure what you are trying to insinuate? Obviously you were not there and suggest you check again and get your facts correct ? Just to confirm we will not be coming to your establishment again and good luck in the future, you will need it ?

Decided to stop off for a meal here because it was not far from Gordon Riggs which we were visiting. Glad we did. Both had lovely meals. Sure to be back. Already planing what I'll next have off the menu. Plenty of choice.
