I have visited Proost the last couple of times I've been in Manchester and they never disappoint.
The service is friendly and welcoming, they have a great selection of beers and wines on offer, and (most importantly) the food is top notch. The white pudding starter and braised lamb neck main were particular highlights!
Keep doing what you're doing, guys! Great work.
Have now eaten here 3 times in last few weeks, once for Sunday lunch and twice on a weekday enjoying the tapas menu. I have taken several friends there and told many more about it. I have to travel 15 miles to get here but it is well worth it. Every dish I have eaten has merit but from the tapas menu I would particularly recommend the slow cooked ox cheek, the patatas bravas and the panko prawns, not forgetting the bruschetta and the pork tenderloin. I'd really recommend this restaurant! The steak was absolutely fantastic and there were plenty of gluten free options. The service was brilliant and quick. It should be said that it is quite small (not a bad thing) so I'd consider booking if going on a Friday or Saturday night.
Dietary restrictions: The waiters were very knowledgeable about gluten free options.
