Well run spacious pub retaining some of its between the wars era character. Recently sensitively redecorated with a pleasant outdoor seating area at the front. Holt's Bitter regular real ale plus a seasonal Holt's beer sometimes. A good place for sports TV though this does not dominate.
Been my local for years, always full of good people, bar staff are friendly too and always a good atmosphere. Friendly pub overall, has a pool table, sometimes karaoke nights and entertainment. Reasonably priced too ?

Considering (believe it or not) that we have lived in crumpsall since 1999, this was the first time we have ever stepped foot inside this pub. I felt like I'd stepped back in time and was in the Woodlands Pub (if anyone remembers it). We loved the decor, pictures and music and, it brought back fond memories. Will definitely stop by for a quick one again
