Please don’t go off the last review! I’ve been eating there for the last 20 years and I have never been ill or disappointed with anything in this chip shop! I’ve eaten every pie including the scotch pies and have been perfectly satisfied with the food and the service! Some people just love a platform.
This is one of the best chippys around. Its not like an original chippy and not traditional but still it is one of the best in my opinion. It is like a chain store chippy, but the fish here is immense. It is cooked just right with just enough batter and the fish is perfect. The chips are a god send too, they are crisp, soft and crunchy. Just ate here for the second time in many years and their food is the best I've ever had with no exaggeration! The Irish curry and rag pudding are amazing ? the girls behind the counter are really friendly with great sense of humour,will always return when in the area.
