I will be the first to admit that I was as bad as the 2 members of staff, but I can’t believe how we were treated! The ladies taking the orders and making the coffees were lovely, 5 stars, there were another 2 at the front of the cafe chatting with each other not really taking much interest with what was going on around them. While I was waiting for the coffees my daughter went to look for an empty table but they all needed cleaning. We sat at the one that was cleanest and asked if someone could give it a wipe down. The girl who was at the front of the shop asked which one needed cleaning, and I admit I was a bit impolite when I said all of the empty ones. Understandably, she took offence and started to have a rant about it to the other members of staff. The man who she had been chatting with at the front of the cafe then came over to me to say that what I said was rude and got even more irate when I said I shouldn’t have to ask someone to do a small aspect of the job they are paid to do. At this point he picked our cups up, poured our coffee into paper cups and asked us to get out. The moral of the story is if you want a bit of a slanging match go to the Costa coffee in the Rochdale Exchange.

The manageress is not the friendliest person. She has a very unwelcoming expression. The rest of staff are very nice. Really unhappy that she had to wipe a table for us when took grandchild in. Offered to do it myself but no. Not the first time I have found this. Everyone is allowed a bad day but come on.

Coffees were delivered tipped all in the bag with no lids on and the delivery driver left the coffees all on the front of my house on the floor and at the door step and left coffee to leak everywhere. Never ordering from this costa again.

Went in store today with my sister she asked could she use toilet as it was emergency she has just had an operation the person behind till refused her and said it has to go though till my sister is a pensioner and need to use toilet she was unable to use after being refused I think this is disgusting there was hardly anyone in the shop yet she was refused we will not be calling into store again
