Another one of those beautiful and cozy old pubs where you are not only being welcomed in a friendly way by the staff but even by the regulars. Lovely place to warm up the fire in winter or enjoy the weather in the beer garden in the summer. Great stop after an walk along the reservoir.
The landlady of this pub ensured that my daughter and her friends was safe after getting in to what they believed to be a legit taxi after attending park life. With quick thinking they ask the taxi to stop at this pub. The landlady realised how scared the girls was and personal drove them to the property which they was staying . Thank you so much for ensuring that these young ladies was safe from a very grateful mum x

Grew up in Wardle worked at the globe at 18 so I've never had a bad word but honestly this is the perfect place to grab a pint after a walk around The Rez was quiet as went early on but reasonable prices friendly staff and very clean
