My first visit here was back in the 1970's and little has changed. A fantastic multi room traditional pub. Always liked coming here. A Joseph Holt's pub selling their excellent bitter ( one of my all time favourite beers ) or mild. I remember telling a puzzle story about crossing a river in a small row boat with a chicken, some grain and a fox. Great staff and atmosphere. Went there to watch the Grand National with friends and really enjoyed it. Bar staff were attentive and knew how to pour a pint.lots of different rooms to drink in and overall a great vibe.

Lovely little hotel / Inn. Lovely atmosphere & plenty of seating, nice little booths to sit in & a nice beer garden for when the sun shines. Lovely friendly staff nice selection of Lagers or ales. Give it a visit if you're passing & a bit thirsty.
