Not a good visit unfortunately, I found the Carvery had dried out food on it and no turkey on offer, only beef and gammon, plus note is the staff were nice thou hence 2 not 1 stars … visited Friday 1/7/22

Its a nice place situated off a main road and easy to get to. Food was good value but the beef was a little stringy. Staff where great.

This is the worst place ever... The chef that dished up the carvery was not so clean, but the worst off it all was.. He was cleaning around the food... With a spray, all over we're the food. My god it's the worst thing I have ever seen in a restaurant most off the cleaning spray all over the food.. Give this red lion a miss.. Plus its really quite expensive for what you get.. Mostly cold food and rude chef..

First visit since before covid and was hugely disappointed. Used to be a favourite eatery for myself and family with regular visits. How times have changed. Food was barely warm, cauliflower undercooked, unhelpful and unfriendly staff. Will we go again - never. It was noticeable that there were few customers compared to previously when we sometimes had to wait for a vacant table. Do yourself a favour and eat somewhere else.

Amazing meal here. The all day breakfast calzone was incredible. Tasted really fresh with the red onion and tomatoes and presented superbly. The beer battered mushrooms, I could eat all day. The app is relatively easy to use (a bit laggy).\\n\\nMy only complaints, starters arriving with the main and having to ask for cutlery. Will I be back... tomorrow to try the carvery. If it matches the quality of today, I'll be e extremely happy.

The food is lovely, the only issue is with the meat portion, which is getting smaller and smaller with every visit, one slice of gammon half of which was the fatty rind, and the beef slice was approx. the size of a kitkat, when i have more time, i do go to a different carvery (toby) for this exact reason, but as i live round the corner from the red lion convinience sometimes wins

Finished working and couldn’t bear the thought of making Sunday dinner, so I went in to order a takeout ! Girl who took the order was really friendly, took us over to where the carvery was to show what was on offer as 2 of us are Veggie.
Got it home and there was loaaads ... I couldn’t make it all for what they charged, really good value. Definitely having this regularly!

Totally awesome place. Staff are always friendly and polite. Easy parking. Menus are varied with lots of offers. Carvery is fresh and nicely cooked. Lovely place if you’re looking for good food in a stress free, relaxed atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable. ??
