As good as it’s ever been!My family and I have lived in Culcheth for 30+ years, but hadn’t been to Don Luigi’s since Santos passed away. We wondered how it would now compare and we were delighted this evening that the food is as good as ever. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough - the lasagne was terrific. Mina and her team are doing a great job… we’ll be back soon!

I have to admit that the food here was really good hearty Italian food but the waiting time was ridiculous. We had to ask the staff to take our orders as we'd been sat down on a small akward table, for way over half an hour without even ordering.The open kitchen is a nice idea but they haven't quite got the extraction right as I found it quite smokey which was irritating my eyes.And it wasn't just us that were getting aggravated by the wait times. Drama from the table next to us led to the customers being escorted out before even receiving their starters.There did seem to be a large party upstairs but if you can't cater for both the restaurant and functions, maybe you should focus on one or the other.Our bill was reduced slightly but it wasn't enough to make me want to rush back,to be honest we were too desperate to get out of there to debate the fact.Funny isn't it, because all it would have taken was some good customer service before hand, a warning that they were understaffed maybe, and an indication of longer waiting times than usual when we arrived. We then could have made the decision to stay or go elsewhere.As I pointed out earlier the food was great once it arrived and maybe we got really unlucky and they were just understaffed or something but non of the front of house staff seemed to know how to handle the situation so I certainly won't be returning in a hurry.If you are going to give it a go I would advise to ask about waiting times before you are seated.Vegetarian options: The vegan lasange was really tasty.

I've been to this restaurant a few times now, the staff the food the restaurant itself superb. 11 of us went this evening for my daughters 30th birthday, the 11th November23 A range of ages from two too fifty two, not a problem at all for the restaurant looked after us all perfectly, food all came at the same time everyone loved there individual selection, As ever the portions and wow the flavours from the food fantastic Thank you so much for this evening's meal, Definitely see you soon rather than later

Manager was rude and rushed us to eat the meal.out with 7 friends and because we were young, she spoke to us rudely and was patronising.
Lovely, place however my daughters are not well and have an upset tummy after eating from here . Do not recommend when they were being sick all night . Don’t recommend.

Visited on a Saturday evening and walked into a busy place, greeted and placed upstairs which felt a little out of the way. After 20mins we where offered a table downstairs that we took as we didn’t have menu’s or even ordered a drink. After seating our order was taken quite quick and was good and tasty but after this it was down hill from there. We had to chase drinks after 20mins and after 2 hours still hadn’t received our food and chased with a look of dismay as they though we had eaten it!!!! But still didn’t offer dessert or coffee Service was poor but put this down to poor management and no structure at all and not even recognition of poor service or any offer of a apology by anyone. I felt sorry for the servers as they hold this place together As for the food I felt after 2 hours of waiting it had been on the pass for a good while and reheated in the microwave and was poor. This is our second visit as a second chance and have now moved to the area but will never return or waste my money here.
