Austen’s is the best café for miles and miles. Fabulous full English breakfast at a very decent price followed by the best iced coffee money can buy.

Myself and two friends had breakfast in Austen’s yesterday 11.01.2024, prior to spending the day fishing. We were greeted with a welcome and a smile. The breakfast, if I may say was probably the very best that I have had in a long time. My companions agreed. Everything was cooked to perfection. I had Breakfast with a pot of tea, which was a good supply as I got 3 cups of tea from it. There was no skimping on the butter either, I never have enough butter out of those little wrapped cakes of butter. But in Austen’s, they provide a fresh slab of butter and I mean “slab” I highly recommend Austen’s. It is certainly worth a visit if you are nearby. There is cheap parking across the rd. I most definitely will be having my breakfast there again.

I selected this place as a small independent cafe that was a lovely atmosphere and had a really kind owner, however the menu had one vegan options which was the opposite of what TripAdvisor lead me to believe forcing me to have a single optiont. The coffee was incredible though and I'd definitely return for it if I'm in the area while it's open

Popped in for a quick coffee. Great menu and delicious cakes. Coffee was very good quality. Decently priced, and the service was great.

I'd just been for a dental check up so thought we deserved a treat. The gentleman on front of house duty was lovely, especially the way he dealt with my 'walker' (recovering from two broken ankles!) whereas staff in some places react as if I'm being an inconvenience. My Earl Grey tea was delicious, and it was nice to be offered a slice of lemon to accompany it. My mum was thrilled that her Latte was hot and stayed hot until she'd finished the cupful. She normally complains that coffee shops serve lattes warm and that she has to drink them quickly before they go cold! Mum enjoyed her shortbread and my carrot cake was one of the best I've tasted , and I assure you that I've eaten a lot of carrot cake! Thank you very much to all at Austen's.

Excellent coffee, great cakes, and good food, and all well served. The place was spotless and well cared for. 100% worth the while to come away from the main street.

Had the most amazing festive afternoon tea, food was amazing and cocktails were delicious and refreshing, the price was incredible for the what was on offer, and then a pot of tea to finish off. Everything was amazingly presented on the table with the best owners you could ask for.
