Myself and two friends had breakfast in Austen’s yesterday 11.01.2024, prior to spending the day fishing. We were greeted with a welcome and a smile. The breakfast, if I may say was probably the very best that I have had in a long time. My companions agreed. Everything was cooked to perfection. I had Breakfast with a pot of tea, which was a good supply as I got 3 cups of tea from it. I selected this place as a small independent cafe that was a lovely atmosphere and had a really kind owner, however the menu had one vegan options which was the opposite of what TripAdvisor lead me to believe forcing me to have a single optiont. The coffee was incredible though and I'd definitely return for it if I'm in the area while it's open
I'd just been for a dental check up so thought we deserved a treat. The gentleman on front of house duty was lovely, especially the way he dealt with my 'walker' (recovering from two broken ankles!) whereas staff in some places react as if I'm being an inconvenience. My Earl Grey tea was delicious, and it was nice to be offered a slice of lemon to accompany it. My mum was thrilled that her Latte was hot and stayed hot until she'd finished the cupful.
