“Extremely good menus and food.Our strollers group of 18 persons was catered for efficiently and swiftly, although one of the group got more than they ordered in their salad (a caterpillar).Lovely garden where my wife and I ate our meal because it was very hot inside on one of the hottest days of 2023. This is a Fullers pub so not much choice of ales, but the Seafarers ale went down well.”

“First time back here since it reopened. Needs softening. Flowers on tables, take a few out to unclutter. Food good and staff very friendly. Would go back.Need to tidy up outside, didn't look open. Just little things but it would help to get people through the door.Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice and a couple of vegan options.”

“Young, friendly and vibrant staff. Really tasty homemade chicken burger, full of flavour. A nice change from the usual frozen burgers you get in other pubs. Service was very friendly and helpful, not in your face. We were even treated to a complementary amuse bouche. Would go back again.”

“Well what an amazing pub - definitely barged its way into my top 10 spoons. A spoons that leaves its traditional decor far behind and embraces a wonderful meter of old and new. First of all, outside: how much seating does one place require? Heaps apparently and it's all here on all three sides. The bar is opposite the main entrance with a good deal of seating in front of it. Then it's down some stairs (although there is a little lift for those who need it) to a warren of little rooms and seating areas spread over the level. The staff were very friendly and constantly doing something- always a good sign. The brekkie was perfect as was the Guinness.”
