I visited with my wife to experience 6x Celebration 100. But found a gem. From bar staff and Peter to witnessing a fully booked eating tables. We will return. Thanks

Short visit to Andover so we popped in the the pub for brunch and drinks. Warmly greeted by friendly staff and served quickly. Food arrived and was well presented and tasty. Nice atmosphere in this old historic building and we would visit again when in the area.

Andover is the half way point between my sister and I, and my Mum and other sister. I stumbled across The Town Mills on the internet as it was across the road from ‘Clip n Climb’ that we had booked for the kids. We were a party of 14, consisting of 7 adults and 7 kids aged between 5 and 10 years old. The pub is large with two floors and the tables are spaced out nicely. The menu is extensive, reasonably priced and there was something for everyone, including little fussy eaters and vegetarians! The kids menu was great, with lots of choice, ice cream and squash. For the adults, there was a large choice from light bites like jacket potatoes, to heavier meals like stroganoff. The food was plentiful and received well by all. We were especially impressed that the food was served together and hot for all fourteen of us! There were empty plates all round! We even indulged in some of the tasty desserts on the menu! A special shout out to Coleen who couldn’t do enough for us! She went over and above to ensure that we all got the best service, and even was super helpful when we wanted a photo of all of us together outside! A great find! We will be back!

Amazing pub, great views, food and staff. Colleen always smiling and hard working. Quiz night is great fun on a Thursday too.

What a gem of a find this was. Visiting Andover with friends and found this place. Great food, great beer - what more could you ask for!! The place was spotlessly clean and and the staff couldn't of been friendlier. Such a lovely setting next to the river. Will 100% be returning to sample more off the menu.

I came in with a few friends for some lunch wasn’t a relatively busy day. The first thing that put me off is when I walked in I heard what sounded like an Irish lady scream slightly and say that there’s a cockroach by the dishwasher which I believe is by the bar. It’s not the first time I’ve been here either. The owners there treat their stuff horribly. Shouting at them from across the bar and kitchen in front of punter. The ones that are left in “charge” when the boss etc is gone it’s clear they just leave all the real work to the other member of staff behind the bar. All in all they hat I’ve heard is disgusting a couple of the girls on that bar have absolutely no problem talking about sleeping with other people husbands etc whilst they’re on the pub and don’t expect anyone to actually hear it. I’ve been there when they have said the wet matts for the bar are covered in ants. Their food is icelands own there is no fresh food made there what so ever even their fresh homemade soup is from a can. As I witnessed them bring it out to someone to show them if that soup would be okay and they’re charging nearly £13. Just awful

Used The Town Mills as our hotel had no restaurant, and unfortunately I was very disappointed. I decided to try the steak suet pudding as its one of my favourites, it came out in good time and was nice and hot, but ended up with a solid block of pastry with little or no filling, a spoonful of microwaved and flavourless mashed potatoes and some very poor vegetables again just microwaved , if it was still the 1980's I might not have been surprised but it's not. My wife went for the hunters chicken which again was totally overcooked and then tried to solve the problem with loads of bbq sauce and cheese, the whole experience was made worse by also having to try and enjoy a meal while being blasted by loud rock music. Overall this could be a nice place but the food needs updating and more freshly cooked dishes need to be added, and think a about the atmosphere a little more.

Was in Andover for the weekend and passed this establishment whilst out walking, stopped for Sunday lunch. Ordered the beef roast - 10 out 10, lovely beef, spuds, plenty of vegetables and great gravy. Thank you Chef.

My first time in Andover to visit my grandson and Great granddaughter They took me to The Town Mill restaurant and we had a lovely well presented late lunch. We were served by a lovely little waitress who was a delight. We all enjoyed our food, the whole place was clean tidy. 5* John Sherrington

Took the opportunity to stop by at one of the last Wadworths pubs on the way home from the old brewery in Devizes for a nice quiet pint of 6X before we left the West Country. Welcomed by Pete (the landlord) asking if my wife was applying for the head chef role, we were awarded with a couple of well poured pints of 6X one of which appeared to suffer from excessive evaporation which Pete kindly rectified. Great place, wonderful location and decent beer. Well done to Pete and the Team!
