A lovely little place. It's an old building with character. It could do with a tiny update, but it makes up for it with the staff being helpful and nice and it being a central location. The breakfast was fine. It was a nice stay. I would stay again.

Besides the fact I booked a table that wasn’t available when I arrived! Soon found another table away from main restaurant the food was as delivered quickly, and as described! Could do with being a little hotter but overall a enjoyable

Steph HD is absolutely amazing. So welcoming and supportive. I never went to any open mic nights or karaoke until I met Steph. She is honestly the most supportive, kind and loving host ever.

Stayed for one night and ate in the restaurant. Service was lovely and food very good value with generous portions. The room was spotlessly clean with a huge bathroom and shower that was incredibly powerful!! The room could probably do with a bit of a spruce up but still very good value. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Thank you

Me, my partner and sister stayed over for the night looking to go out in town overnight and the experience was good but disappointing in places.Food -Firstly the front of house staff were lovely, couple of younger people who seemed to really care about customer experience which was great to see.Yet on the other hand we definitely got the impression that the back of house staff (kitchen) may have been struggling; our food took an hour and 15 minuets to come out, we had staff come out and tell us they didn't have any "" 4 times and ended up with 2/5 items from our original order and the proportions were confusing, huge amount of lettuce iny burger yet my sister ended up with a measly spoonful of pea's with her pie.Hotel -The hotel was nice yet once again areas were lacking. We had a lovely large room with a surprisingly gorgeous bathroom and large tub, lovely bonus. Mattresses were comfy although one slightly lumpy and extras were nice (kettle, tea and biscuits, ironing board, TV).On the other hand though it felt like the whole place was begging for a restoration; the walls were pealing between the wallpaper, there were cobwebs all over the windows inside and out, smelt damp. I had to actually take apart and re-screw part of the fan back together as it wasn't secured and making loud noises during use. Most notably our room, 09, actually wasn't able to be locked from the outside and didn't automatically as it was supposed to, so anyone was able to open our door whilst we were out, luckily nothing happened there.Overall we enjoyed our staye got back at 4am and out by 11am, but do think It could do with maybe a little bit more attention in places.Thank you to the lovely FOH staff for making us feel welcome :)

The room was terrible, the curtains were old and damaged not stopping the outside street lights from entering the room, with the sloping floor the bed was uphill and the bathroom down hill, the previous occupants had left their dirty knife and fork on the dressing table and the cleaning staff had left them as a present. The ceiling paper was torn, I guess the poor lighting was to tone down the decoration from the 1940's. The bed was two singles joined together, which helped in the night stopping me from rolling out of the bed towards the toilet. On a plus side the breakfast was good.
