“Very quaint country pub located off the beaten track, but definitely worth a visit. Went for a working lunch mid week so it was very quiet.
Food was delicious, and many home-made dishes. I had the duck and plumbing sausages, and they were full of flavour. Portions were generous and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Would like to return when it's busier for the atmosphere.”

“I was invited for lunch by my friend and his wife. Unfortunately I didn't feel like eating so my marks are for their meals and the presentation.

Very Olde Worlde interior but spotlessly clean, including the toilets. Very friendly and welcoming staff, Not the cheapest but a nice little village local, well supported by both locals and visitors.

Small car park to the front but parking is permitted on the road, albeit this is also a bus route so care is needed.

Definitely worth a visit.”

“We celebrated a family birthday here today for a group of 13 including two children. The menu is mostly Thai food which was delicious and the service was excellent. There are also some English dishes for those that don't like Thai food. The children in our group had fish and chips. Highly recommended!”

“A true proper pub. Friendly staff and customers. Great food but absolutely not a restaurant. No two visits are the same. For instance Sunday afternoon turned into an impromptu sing along when some local musicians stopped by on their way from a rehearsal. A pub where all are welcome.”

“Absolutely outstanding traditional cafe! The breakfast is amazing...every part of it from the chips, bacon, sausages! Honestly if you want a good hearty meal this is the one but the other part that made me want to review is the prices! Unbelievable in today's world and such a good menu....honestly give it a try you won't be disappointed. We came in randomly on a day out to Basingstoke (from reading) I wish this cafe was in Readung I'd go no where else! 5+ stars....honestly go and try it!”

“Our server matt was absolutely lovely. He has only been here a week when he served us and he did so well. We even threw an allergy his way and he handled super well even with the uncertainty of the full process. He laughed and joked around with us which is always lovey to see in anyone. Food was super speedy and delicious. Once again, massive shout out to matt. Also apologies to matt for the shenanigans we were forcing you to deal with ❤️”
