“I would love to be able to have this pub as my local, we only went to have a quick pint before we went for a walk around the Basingstoke Common nearby. Loads of dog, we were welcomed by locals, had nice chats with people and the barman was quick and gave us some local advice on good walking routes.”

“Found this place from a Google search. So glad we did. Booked a meal for 2 online nice and easy. Excellent choice of menu so much choice! I chose braised beef and my partner chose the lamb, beautifully presented and the taste was worthy of Michelin star rating. If we didn't live 2.5hrs away we would visit on a weekly basis. The cost of the meals, desert and bottle of wine reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We are staying 1 mile down the road and have visited this place 3 times now! If you live in or around Dummer please use it, I'd hate to see this place close.”
