I would love to be able to have this pub as my local, we only went to have a quick pint before we went for a walk around the Basingstoke Common nearby. Loads of dog, we were welcomed by locals, had nice chats with people and the barman was quick and gave us some local advice on good walking routes.

Excellent pub ran by the Excellent Ian and his team. Staff are incredibly friendly and the service is first class. This is a beautiful rustic pub that holds all the charm and character that suits its location. Beautiful well maintained 3 tier garden level to the rear and a heated patio on the front.
