Our Worst Nightmare!We visited Las Iguanas Basingstoke on 20th December 2023.My wife and I are vegetarians for our religious believes. In my 40 years of my life and my wife's 34 years of life, since birth, both of us have not touched any kinds meat or consumed at all.The waiter serving us, made a wrong note, instead of serving us ''Mushroom Quesadilla'', he serves us, ''chicken Quesadilla''.I also ate the whole Quesadilla without realising it is meat as in my whole life I have never consumed meat, so I do not know how meat should taste.So when the final bill came, to our absolute horror, we realised we had consumed meat, and you can imagine the sheer guilt we are feeling until now as we are not supposed to touch or eat meat.Though the waiter gave us 50% off for our final bill, we are not happy at all.My wife came home and was crying. We are consumed with guilt and how to answer to our religion and answer to God.This is absolutely not acceptable. How can we get meat when my wife clearly said mushroom.We are shattered beyond words and we do not know if we ever want to visit Las Iguanas. This has traumatised us, and we cannot convey to you how angry and sad we are.We wrote a feedback to Las Iguanas but no reply at all from them.Our last time we will ever go to Las Iguanas.

It's a great place, the food is really good. I was surprised at the size of the pudding, I thought it would be bigger (going by cost and stated calories), but it was very tasty. It can be quite loud so not great if you have a diner with hearing difficulties, but we had a good time.

Visited on the 28th of December. Got seated in an area where we were very much squished in to a corner of the restaurant. Waited 30 minutes, no one had approached our table for drinks. Had to call a waiter over who finally took our drinks order. Waited another 15 minutes, still no one had approached to take our food order.Gave up after 45 minutes of waiting.

Came in here for lunch during my break, service was prompt and friendly, despite the guys being busy. Would definitely recommend!

One star is generous. Sat down, 25 minutes later we hadn’t been even acknowledged, not even a drinks order. Weren’t the only ones as a table of two got up and walked out shortly before we did, exactly the same situation. Place wasn’t busy, did see some food come out (was stacked up by the kitchen, waiting to be served as well) which looked bang average anyway. That was the final indicator to leave. Wouldn’t say it was understaffed, just poor and clearly zero organisation or communication.

Office Christmas meal. Service was very slow for food and drinks. Food OK but nothing special. Only one person on cocktail bar catering for full house! Not much sign of Christmas atmosphere. Short staffed.

This place is awful. It’s so busy but staff can’t cope, don’t get me wrong I know hospitality is understaffed, but you should manage the bookings, to staffing levels!. You have to wait for everything, from ordering, to receiving, the food is of a very low standard. I wish I had read the reviews. Will never return again
It was a busy evening with great atmosphere and it’s a lovely place inside. However, the staff appeared disorganised and when we eventually got served, we had to wait another 15-20 minutes just for our drinks. The food wasn’t impressive either, being both cold and tasteless overall which was quite disappointing. Considering the prices aren’t the cheapest in here you would expect better quality of food and drink. The cocktails weren’t the nicest and if you want another drink during your meal. You’re better off ordering about 3 before you get your food as you’ll be finished by the time you receive them. Not a great first impression and certainly won’t be returning.

The food is so delicious, great atmosphere with lots of Christmas parties having fun, lovely staff and great value!I've been before and the food is just as good as it was many years ago! The drinks are also very delicious too, as lots of mocktails aren't very strong ,but these were very flavourful! And to make it better they do a deal on mocktails ? 2 for 1!

Absolutely horrible. The food was burnt to a crisp. I ordered the steak and halloumi starter and it come out like someone got cremated. The waitress even said it looked unedible. I was embarrassed for them.

Milly and artur were wonderful servers. They treated us very well and were incredibly hospitable to us both. Plus Milly is jacked like seriously dude looks like he can bench press a mountain.Dietary restrictions: Very commandeering of our requirements
