Food and staff are nice, service however, terribly slow. Taking 30 mins for our cuppa tea/coffee. Afternoon tea is overly priced. Couple bits of sandwich and cake almost £40. I keep coming back hoping it’ll change but it never does!

No one came over to serve me even they told me to sit down. So i had to order on line to eat after ordering a cake and a Bottle of coke they tried to give me a can of coke which is from a multi pack i paid £2.95 for the bottle I had to say to them that I'm not paying £2.95 for a can In the end i did get the Bottle. But you should get what you paid for I wouldn't go back they again.

It was great the last time we came however this time we were left waiting outside with no attention for over half an hour before we went and got someone. We had to do this twice before eventually being served. When the drinks came out one of them was incorrect and we had to ask for the correct replacement. However the food was lovely just a shame it took an hour to get it sorted. We do appreciate it was busy but people who arrived after us got served before us which is where the irritation came in.

We had to wait between 25-30 min for the food and when the food arrived it was very average. I had the Caesar salad and the chicken was limp and the croutons were soggy.

We visited the Basingstoke patisserie Valerie on a busy weekend morning, we did have a little wait for our food, but the staff were lovely, the food was worth the wait and our little girl loved her babyccino so all in all, very happy! We will visit again!! Thank you! ??

Terrible waited over 45 mins to get served came out with 3 wrong orders not ours we counted 20 people sat down and left after cos they weren't getting served or they waited to long for there food never again told the manger about our experience and was told we understand. The food was small very expensive not worth the hassle worse chain we ever been too

Reasonably quick service, order via app or with staff, cakes and pastries good but brunch menu a little dull. Sweet potato skillet was just bland, poached eggs on avocado much

Big thanks to the Greek manager! We've been here before and didn't have the best experience, but the new staff has truly turned things around. Appreciate the warm hospitality and excellent service!

Ordered a Tuna and Mayo bagette and received a sparcely covered roll with a salad that was not fresh and had limp leaves and brown edges. On paying i spoke to a gentleman who said he was the manager.I pointed out the above and showed him the sandwich ,upon which he said know body else has complained and seemed quite upset that I was not happy. He also said he would mention to head office. No appology or reduction or refund ...Contacted head office awaiting reply ...lets see what my instagram follows think!!!

We had a GroupOn voucher for an afternoon tea at Patisserie Valerie, so went to the Basingstoke branch on 16 November.First impression was a very friendly welcome and it was very spacious, which was important to us as my wife is in a wheelchair. The staff were happy to provide a cup of warm frothy milk with the one-shot coffee on the side so that my wife could make a weak latte. I had a pot of tea, which was a good size and gave enough for 3 cups. The afternoon tea was a festive one - mince pies and cakes decorated with ivy and gingerbread people were included. There was a great selection of sandwiches (all very fresh and nice soft bread) and cakes as well as warm scones, jam and cream. There was so much that neither of us could finish and the staff were very happy to supply a takeaway box so we could enjoy the cakes later at home. All in all it was a lovely experience and one we both enjoyed.Huge thanks to all the staff.Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent accessibility - no steps at the entrance and plenty of space inside to manoeuvre a wheelchair.

Bought an afternoon tea experience with Groupon.Upon entering, the waitress was swift to scan our voucher. She then asked if we had any allergies or were vegan, then took our drinks order. All this was BEFORE we sat down. So why did it take 40 mins to get our platter, I asked why it was taking so long as we were pushed for time (parking), and we were told the chef was making them. However, when the scarcely filled tier arrived, half the sandwiches were crusty, just how sandwiches get when left out for too long, and the cakes looked so small and sad. The restaurant was not busy, so I am baffled to why the 40 min wait?No staff came to see how we were getting on or to ask if we wanted more drinks. It's definitely not worth the cost, even with a groupon voucher. They used to be really great, normally enough food to then have to have some to go. However, this time, the offerings were sparce. Did they run out of sandwiches and tiny cakes? I read other reviews where others said they had great selections, I wish I had taken a photo. Disappointed ?

What is it with British service establishments nowadays? The service was slow and indifferent, the food when it finally arrived was barely warm and the staff were just sullen, borderline rude.To cap it all I got stuck in the bathroom to be told after that they knew the lock mechanism was broken but couldn't be bothered to put a temporary sign up.One more nail in the British shopping experience coffin ⚰️⚰️⚰️

This is not a fast food place. If you visit you need patience as the lovely staff are very attentive and they will not rush. The menu choices are excellent and the quality is very good. It’s not cheap

First of all, this is not a fast food establishment. Be prepared to wait as the staff are very attentive and friendly. Secondly, it is not cheap. It has a great menu with a good selection to cater for all tastes. It gets really busy. People spend ages just chatting over a coffee eating cake watching the world go by. If you like this slower pace of life, this is the perfect place for you. It’s clean and it has a lovely atmosphere.
