Fantastic evening last night for a special birthday. Staff were excellent and attentive and helped us enjoy a fun time with a special guest of honour (Jensen Ackles cut out)Personally for my taste there was too much black pepper on my otherwise scrumptious minted lamb pie. Parsnips were delicious, carrots were a bit Al dente for my taste.The crumble was OK, but the fruit bit had far too sweet/sweetener and I have a sweet tooth!But overall the food was very good.

Stopped in over the weekend for a last minute roast and they very kindly managed to squeeze us in! It was lovely. Both the beef and pork were delish! Fresh veg and crispy potatoes. Saw it’s been mentioned recently but the only thing I would change is the gravy - a little thicker ideally. Otherwise perfect.I feel the foresters have really upped their game and turned the place around. Amazing service - we will be back!
