Nice little pub, has a cosy atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Always great on a cold winter day as the open fire is usual in full swing. It's got enough sport on but it's a nice mix of sport and pleasant company.

Went in last Friday for a bite to eat with the wife. Place was lovely and warm, open fire. We ordered a sandwich each and a bowl of chips to share and a drink, obvs!!We had our drink and food came out. All was delicious. We had to leave some chips as I am not kidding the whole pub could of had some there was so many.
Very nice braised beef suet dumpling and roast potatoes and market veg. Where else could you get such quality food and at a very reasonable price and above all fantastic ales straight from the barrel.

Came here for my birthday lunch. The food was amazing. The fish and Chips were cooked to perfection and baguettes were nicely done. I will be returning.

Lovely meal at a reasonable price. Staff friendly and helpful. We'll definitely visit againVegetarian options: A little more choice would be nice, but I could say the same for most restaurants. Personally, I don't like veggie burgers...a soggy, soft, potato based patty in a bun isn't something I enjoy but they seem to be on every menu as the vegetarian option. This is not a criticism of this pub, but all pub/restaurant menus.
