We have eaten many times at Beefeater’s around the country. Have been to the Oast and Squire several times. Admittedly not for a couple of years. Unfortunately the place has gone downhill. Not just in appearance but mainly the quality of the food. I have always said to people I have never had a bad meal at a Beefeater’s. Unfortunately this was not the case on this occasion. Many items were not available on the menu. The main issue was how long it took to get service and for the food to arrive. When it did arrive it was overcooked and dry. Clare, our waitress was ok but complained about being stressed. Not something you want to hear when going somewhere to enjoy yourself. Sorry but just saying how it was in the night.

Special mention goes out to our Waiter Sam who must have been under severe pressure as several staff had failed to turn up. He carried on smiling and cheerfully saw that we were well looked after. He is certainly a huge asset to the restaurant. Well done Sam. The food was good and we will be back

The menu is a bit limited it would be nice for some choice ie baked potato or new potato instead of chips service was great just a little disappointed with the menu on offer but what I did eat was cooked

Waited nearly a hour. When the food arrived it was very disappointing. Frozen roast potatoes fatty lamb (which was described that would be slightly red).Cost 14.99 had to pay extra for cauliflower cheese. Drinks ordered was wrong. Service was excellent didn't get her
