Lovely pub with great atmosphere and service. The starters and main course were great but the dessert was not good at all. 3 of us all ordered the apple crumble and one of the party couldn’t even eat it. The apple slices were hard, it wasn’t sweet and the crumble just poured on top cold.
A lovely dinner after a long walk, good service, a really charming traditional pub. We will be back.
Best katsu curry I’ve had. Fresh ingredients and so tasty. Husband had the pie and vegetables. Again. Tasty and fresh.

My friend and I came on a Monday lunch for some drinks and some classic British tapas à la chunky chips and bruschetta. We were pleasantly surprised at how ambient and busy the pub was for a Monday lunch and the food came out quickly and the drinks were lovely. Our server Emily was extremely friendly and helpful. We’ve been to this pub multiple times and always look forward to returning
It was the second time I came because they had new special dishes and now we have been surprised that they have new specials every week, this week it was the seabream with white wine and lemon sauce! MY FRIEND AND I WERE DELIGHTED with the food! Congratulations for the effort.

Last week, a group of 4 went and we tried the lamb rump, which surprised us very much to see that there are still pubs where they make good lamb, it was very tender with good flavor and the apricot sauce was delicious.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff.
