Visited Monday lunchtime with my dog and a friend, after walking the canal. Table service from friendly, attentive staff. London Pride was perfectly kept and served. Dirty (chilli) fries were good. Loved the menu for dogs, though none of us tried anything from it. Will return.
Very nice country pub with welcoming staff. It's just a few minutes walk from the Basingstoke canal and ideal if you're staying on a Narrow Boat and fancy a night off the cooking. Food is good and the prices are reasonable too. I was just visiting the area but if I lived locally, I'd definitely make it a regular.
