I have to say after a good few recommendations for this place we were a little underwhelmed with the food. We booked for my sister’s 60th and found the main menu fairly limited and I would say over priced. 25 pounds for a main dish of moules mariniere is expensive given mussels are not a steak and the burger was the saddest unloved looking burger I had seen in a long time. It look like a child had put it together! I had the green sage and Stilton risotto which should be silky and the risotto grains identifiable as risotto go but it was a green mush on my plate. Better restaurants in the lymington and new forest areas and probably better priced. Staff nice and I can imagine in the summer evenings it’s a pretty spot. So maybe I’ll pop back for a cocktail but I will not be rushing back for the food.

My first breakfast here today. Started with a flat white coffee which tasted spot on.Was toying between various food options, was watching the plates being served to other tables loaded with toast.I went for the Haven full English...The place was busy so we had to wait for it but I prefer freshly cooked and that's what we got, but my plate was overflowing.Sausage n bacon, great quality, eggs x 2 perfect accompanied by beans, mushrooms and large tomatoes....I managed 1/2 of toast and the meal, but only just...I would normally have 2 small coffees but couldn't manage any more incoming....Top marks, great service, our table front waterside was the best...wow.

I love this place, feels like I'm on holiday with the view of the boats. The food is always great and the staff are very nice.

Booked for Valentines lunch whilst on a mini break. I had the Bouillabaisse and my wife had mussels. Quality and quantity were perfect and the service was first class. Highly

Lovely place. Taken by friends who are members at the yacht club. Nice food. Well looked after. Not too pricey. Probably amazing in summer ?. Definitely plan to go again.

Lovely place to come. Fab cocktails. The food was delicious but the fish curry lacked taste which was a shame. Gorgeous wine and cocktails and love the views and fireplace.

Despite having lived in the area for over 13 years, this is the first time we have eaten at the Haven Bar & Restaurant. We decided to give it a try after receiving a strong recommendation from local friends. We were not disappointed. My wife chose the chilli con carne followed by hot chocolate fudge cake and cream and I had the gammon steak with 2 fried eggs, chips and garden peas followed by apple crumble and custard. Although the inside of this historic inn is quite small it is very cost with log fires at either end which were a welcome site with it being quite cold outside. We were fortunate to get a table and noted that whilst this pub does not admit children, dogs are welcome with well behaved owners. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and atmosphere and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming and we will be back another time.

We booked at table at the Haven for a cosy family lunch to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday in early January. We had the most delicious meal - fresh brill, hake, whitebait, beef and sticky toffee pudding (all worth a mention!) and loved watching the winter sun over the marina and Solent beyond as we dined. The staff were all wonderful - super kind and accommodating. Thank you all for a very memorable lunch. We would highly recommend.

Lovely venue and location for a birthday meal. Exvwllent food, generous portions and attentive staff. Would have been full marks but felt my hake could have done with a sau e of some kind as.found the veg/bacon a little dry for my tastes. Used my partners mussels sauce and that worked well.
