It's been a few years since I last stopped by, and after my meal tonight I realise this is noone's error but my own.The service is great, food great, atmosphere great, and - bonus - parking great. All told, great.

We really enjoyed our visit, stayed at Forest Lodge across the road and came with our young kids for dinner. Despite there being quite a few things off the menu, the service was great, really friendly staff, and the food was excellent. Loved the wide choice of kids meals. Also felt the wine was really good value. Great pub layout too with lots of different areas. Will hopefully be back

We had a lovely lunchtime meal. Only reason I've not given 5 stars is that there were a few things on their standard menu that they were out of, but we weren't told in advance so ended up being slightly disappointed to only be told that they were out of them when we ordered them. This happened both with a main and a dessert.Apart from that I can't fault the service and the quality of the meals we had were excellent.

We have always enjoyed our lunches at the Green Dragon, good food and a nice atmosphere. Whilst we enjoyed our visit yesterday it was slightly marred by the roast potatoes, roast parsnips and carrots which accompanied the excellent roast beef. The roast potatoes and parsnips were undercooked and not crispy which was a shame. The carrots were not topped and tailed or peeled which seems the modern way but strikes me as lazy, they were also undercooked. Overall we still enjoyed our visit, just a little disappointed.

The food is ok for a pub and the service really good. There were many customers with dogs, one lifted his dog onto the table in the dining area and let it lick the table for a long period. Dogs are not my thing and the fact that the staff ignored it would stop me returning again.

We love coming here, stay at The Bell across the road but always make sure we book a table on the Friday night here! The staff are so friendly and the food tasty as always - thank you and see you next year!! ❤️

Nice atmosphere. Excellent food. Easy to park.Would have given a 5 star but service not quite there. Forgot the jug of water requested and tricky to get attention when more drinks required and they won’t serve you at bar. The food was beautifully presented, very tasty and few more unusual dishes available. The decaf coffee was fine but the other coffees were very bitter and strong and were left by the members of our party who had ordered them.Vegetarian options: Lentil Dahl was delicious.Cauliflower steak available but rather bland

A warm and welcoming place for food and/or a drink. The staff are friendly and polite, the kitchen produces very good, well cooked, meals from a varied menu. I really like this place and would heartily recommend it.

The food was just gorgeous, not a huge menu but what they listed they served well, my beef and ale pie being terrific. You have to have try the braised red cabbage side order too, it has an aniseed flavour which just works. Some different puds, the gingerbread cheesecake a revelation with the awesome blood orange gelato. Only reason for a 4 on service was that we had quite a wait at the bar to order a drink when we first arrived and pudding was slow to arrive. Otherwise clearly a pioneer spot as both the car-park and the pub inside were full.

Very busy which didn't help with limited parking available. Roast beef was beautiful but the meal was rather tepid. I like my food hot. Having said that, it is in a lovely setting with friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

Lovely meal as always. The baked camembert sharer was delicious, plenty of toast and a lovely onion chutney. The roast was spot on, I had the pork belly which was lovely and tender with a good amount of crackling and my hubby had the roast beef which he said was delicious.Parking: Parking available at the front and then a reasonably sized car park at the back

Not a great experience. We have always visited the Green Dragon and had a lovely meal. However, today I visited the Green Dragon with my Nan and Grandad. We ordered fish and chips which was one of the more expensive mains on the menu at £15. The table was a little sticky on my side. When the meal came over, the fish was very small, my grandad even made a comment asking if there was actually any fish in the batter. There was a handful of chips, one of my chips had a root coming out of the skin that they had obviously forgotten to chop off before cooking. When we cut into the very overly cooked fish, there was a lot of batter and not so much fish. The fish was dry and the peas were sour. It’s a shame because I have always had a great meal there, not too sure if the management has changed but I certainly would not be in a rush to return.

Great country pub, we had a shared plough mans plus 2 drinks and a side of chips. Food was well presented with lots on the platter to choose from. All for £30.Parking: Muddy at the back, but some limited parking in front.Wheelchair accessibility: From the rear it's easy, I don't remember any internal steps, but I didn't use the front.

Stayed overnight here with my motorhome on Saturday enroute to catch the ferry.Very welcoming.I had a steak, which I enjoyed, although I thought a few more chips on the plate would have been welcomed.Followed by a cheeseboard. One pint of ale, one 250ml merlot, one port, one americano with a large malt whiskey.Cost £77 a tad expensive. Not sure if I was charged for staying overnight ?Enjoyed myself, so never bothered to ask, didn't want to spoil my first day of retirement by upsetting the apple cart.Would I visit again....definitely.

The main courses were excellent as was the service. Our only complaint was that the fruit crumble was all crumble and very little fruit. The manager did offer to replace it but my friend who had ordered it decided not to accept. Overall good value for
